Genrobotics' G-SPIDER Removes 168 Tonnes of Waste from Amayizhanchan Canal
G-SPIDER Removes 168 Tonnes of Waste from Amayizhanchan Canal in Thiruvananthapuram Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala | June 2026 Genrobotics' AI-powered G-SPIDER robotic canal cleaning system has completed a canal-cleaning operation at the Amayizhanchan Canal in Thiruvananthapuram, removing an estimated 168 tonnes of waste between February and June 2026. The deployment was carried out by the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation in collaboration with Genrobotics under Swachh Bharat Mission–Urban 2.0 to support mechanised canal cleaning and improve the safety and efficiency of urban sanitation operations. Deployment Summary ● Work Started: 04 February 2026 ● Last Working Day: 16 June 2026 ● Total Loads Collected: 56 ● Estimated Total Waste Removed: 168 Tonnes During the deployment period, G-SPIDER completed 56 waste collection cycles, removing accumulated waste from the canal and supporting water flow improvement and routine waterway maintenance. More Than a One-Time Cleaning Operation The deployment revealed the continuous nature of waste accumulation in urban waterways. While large quantities of legacy waste were removed from the canal, fresh waste continued to enter the waterway through runoff, floating debris, vegetation, and improperly discarded materials. Waste recovered during the operation included plastic bottles, food packaging materials, household waste, vegetation, and mixed floating debris. The findings highlighted the need for continuous monitoring and intervention rather than periodic cleaning alone. To address this challenge, the deployment incorporated a specially designed multi-level barricade system at strategic locations within the canal. These barricades were designed to intercept floating waste before it could travel further downstream. The collected waste was then identified, monitored, and removed by G-SPIDER, enabling a more continuous and systematic approach to canal maintenance. Operating in a Challenging Environment The system was deployed in a difficult section of the Amayizhanchan Canal beneath the Central Railway Station at Thampanoor. The site is characterised by: ● Restricted accessibility ● Low vertical clearance ● Continuous water flow ● Limited equipment access ● Absence of safe human entry points ● Mixed and continuously accumulating waste These conditions make conventional cleaning operations difficult and limit the effectiveness of traditional equipment. G-SPIDER was specifically designed to operate in such constrained environments without requiring human entry into the canal. Technology Overview G-SPIDER is a robotic canal-cleaning system developed by Genrobotics for waterway maintenance and environmental management applications. Built on a Cable-Driven Parallel Robotics (CDPR) architecture and integrated with machine vision and sensor systems, the platform enables: ● Waste detection and assessment ● Robotic waste collection and removal ● Remote operation ● Continuous monitoring of canal conditions ● Deployment in confined and hard-to-access environments The system is designed to support mechanised canal maintenance while reducing the need for manual intervention in hazardous locations.

Maharashtra’s First G Gaiter System Launched at Regen Wellness
Maharashtra's First G Gaiter Robotic Gait Training System Launched at Regen Wellness, Nashik Nashik, Maharashtra | June 2026 Regen Wellness, a leading rehabilitation and physiotherapy centre in Nashik, Maharashtra, has introduced the state's first G Gaiter Robotic Gait Training System, bringing advanced robotic rehabilitation and neuro rehabilitation services to patients across Nashik, North Maharashtra, and surrounding regions. The facility was inaugurated by Shri Rajabhau Waje, Hon'ble Member of the 18th Lok Sabha, in the presence of Prof. Devyani Pharande, Seema Hiray, Dr. Rahul Aher, Rahul Dhikale, Saroj Ahire, Mayor Himgauri Adke-Aher, Deputy Mayor Vilas Shinde, along with Dr. Manoj Chopra, Dr. Rahul Birla, Dr. Nahush Patil, Dr. Nikhil Pawar, Dr. Siddesh Raka, and healthcare professionals from across Maharashtra. The launch marks a significant milestone in rehabilitation healthcare in Maharashtra, expanding access to robotic gait training and advanced rehabilitation technologies for individuals recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, neurological disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and mobility impairments. Bringing Advanced Robotic Rehabilitation to Maharashtra The introduction of G Gaiter at Regen Wellness Nashik reflects the growing adoption of advanced rehabilitation technologies across Maharashtra. As healthcare providers increasingly focus on evidence-based recovery programmes, robotic-assisted rehabilitation is helping improve the consistency and quality of gait training for individuals with neurological and mobility-related conditions. Regen Wellness has established itself as a specialised rehabilitation and physiotherapy centre in Nashik, offering structured recovery programmes supported by clinical expertise, rehabilitation technologies, and patient-centred care. What is G Gaiter? G Gaiter is an advanced robotic gait training system designed to support rehabilitation professionals in delivering structured, repetitive, and guided walking therapy. The system assists patients during gait training sessions by enabling controlled walking practice under clinical supervision. By supporting consistent movement patterns, G Gaiter helps therapists deliver repeatable rehabilitation sessions that can be tailored to individual patient needs and recovery goals. Robotic Gait Rehabilitation in Nashik, Maharashtra Gait training is a critical component of neuro rehabilitation and mobility recovery. Individuals affected by neurological conditions often experience challenges related to balance, coordination, muscle control, and walking ability. Robotic gait training helps address these challenges through guided and repetitive walking practice. The technology supports rehabilitation teams in providing structured therapy sessions while allowing patients to participate in consistent movement training. This approach can support: ● Repetitive and guided walking practice ● Improved balance and coordination ● Early-stage rehabilitation support ● Mobility and movement training ● Confidence-building during recovery ● Structured rehabilitation under therapist supervision Supporting Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation The availability of G Gaiter at Regen Wellness Nashik expands access to advanced neuro rehabilitation and physiotherapy services for patients across Maharashtra. The robotic gait training system can support rehabilitation programmes for individuals recovering from: ● Stroke ● Spinal Cord Injury ● Parkinson's Disease ● Traumatic Brain Injury ● Neurological Disorders ● Mobility Impairments These conditions can significantly impact movement control, balance, walking ability, and overall mobility. Through guided gait rehabilitation, patients can work towards improving functional movement and independence over time.

Genrobotics secures contract from PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency to embark on R&D for advanced robotic solutions to clean sedimentation tanks
Genrobotics has strengthened its global presence with a new contract awarded by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency. This contract focuses on the research and development of advanced robotic systems specifically designed for the cleaning of sedimentation tanks at PUB’s water reclamation plants. The contract was awarded after winning one of the three challenge statements put out under the 4 th edition of PUB’s Global Innovation Challenge (GIC4), reflecting the potential of the solutions for deployment to support used water treatment operations in Singapore. The current contract is centered on a dedicated research & development project designed as a Proof of Concept for both Genrobotics and PUB to demonstrate and evaluate whether Genrobotics’ solutions can effectively clean sedimentation tanks while navigating operational challenges such as obstacles in the tanks. Due to contractual obligations, Genrobotics will not be able to share any specific commercial details (e.g. contract value) or technical specifications related to this contract; any articles or videos currently in circulation do not represent the nature of the contract nor any future plans for PUB on the deployment of robotic solutions.
